Welcome to Paddle Paradise. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website (paddleparadise.gr) and the booking of our Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) services in Stegna, Rhodes. By booking a session or rental, you agree to the following terms.

1. General Requirements

  • Swimming Ability: In accordance with Greek Maritime Law, all participants must be able to swim in open water without assistance.
  • Health Status: Participants must be in good physical health. You must inform us of any medical conditions (e.g., heart conditions, asthma) that may affect your safety on a SUP.
  • Alcohol & Substances: For safety reasons, we strictly prohibit the use of alcohol or drugs before or during any paddleboarding activity. We reserve the right to refuse service without a refund if a participant appears intoxicated.

2. Age Policy

  • Minors: Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on the water.
  • Consent: Minors aged 16-18 require written or verbal consent from a guardian present at our station.

3. Safety & Equipment

  • Life Jackets (PFD): The use of a Life Jacket/Buoyancy Aid is mandatory for all participants, as required by the Rhodes Port Authority.
  • Safety Briefing: You agree to follow the safety instructions provided by our paddle team at all times. Failure to follow instructions may result in the immediate termination of your session without a refund.
  • Equipment Responsibility: You are responsible for the SUP board, paddle, leash, and life jacket during your session. Paddle Paradise reserves the right to charge for damage or loss of equipment caused by negligence or reckless behavior.

4. Photo & Media Release

  • Photography: During our activities, we often take photos and videos of our guests to provide as a souvenir and for use in our promotional materials (Instagram, Facebook, Website).
  • Consent: By participating, you grant Paddle Paradise permission to use this media for marketing purposes.
  • Opt-Out: If you do not wish to be photographed or have your image used online, please inform our team before the start of the activity. We respect your privacy and will ensure you are excluded from any media coverage.

5. Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings made via our website are processed securely.
  • Prices include all local taxes (VAT) and the necessary SUP safety equipment.
  • Your booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy (EU 2026 Standard)

  • Full Refund: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for a 100% refund.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time, or “No Shows,” are non-refundable.
  • Refund Processing: In compliance with EU consumer rights, approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.

7. Weather & Force Majeure (Port Authority Rules)

  • Beaufort Limits: If wind conditions exceed 4 Beaufort or if the Rhodes Port Authority issues a small-craft warning, we may be legally required to cancel activities.
  • Safety First: Paddle Paradise reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unsuitable sea conditions. If we cancel due to weather, you will be offered an alternative date or a 100% full refund.

8. Liability Waiver

Participation in Stand-Up Paddleboarding involves inherent risks. By booking, you acknowledge that Paddle Paradise and its staff are not liable for personal injury or loss/damage to personal belongings (e.g., waterproof cases, cameras, sunglasses) taken on the water.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hellenic Republic (Greece). Any legal disputes shall be settled exclusively in the courts of Rhodes, Greece.
